Solidarisch durch die Krise – soziale Sicherheit schaffen und fossile Abhängigkeiten beenden. Das war das Motto der Solidaritätsdemo am 22.10.20221, die gleichzeitig in 6 verschiedenen Städten stattfand. Initiator:innen von attac, BUND, Campact, Finanzwende, GEW, Paritätischer, ver.di, Volkssolidarität und natürlich Greenpeace2 hatten zur Demonstration aufgerufen: Für Solidarität, für soziales und nachhaltiges Miteinander, gegen Rechtsruck und Verschwörungstheorien.
Und mehrere Zehntausend Menschen gingen dafür auf die Straße. Die Veranstalter sprachen von 24.000 Demonstrierenden.3 Davon 5.000 in Frankfurt - getoppt nur von Berlin mit 6.000 Menschen – mit über ein Dutzend Greenpeacler:innen darunter. In den grünen Jacken leicht zu erkennen.
Aus verschiedenen Ortsgruppen kamen wir zusammen, u.a. Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Marburg… und Würzburg. Eine bunte Gruppe, die sich zwischen den FFF und BUND gut aufgehoben fühlt. Nach einigen Reden am Roßmarkt ging der lange Demozug durch die Straßen Frankfurts – vorbei an großen Bankgebäuden, die unsere Klimakatastrophe mitfinanzieren.4 Gewaltige Türme, die auf uns mit Spott herabzublicken scheinen. Doch wir begegnen ihnen mit lauten Shouts, Musik und solidarischer Stärke. Schließlich ging der Zug zurück zum Marktplatz mit weiteren starken Reden und für unsere Gruppe wieder mit dem Zug nach Würzburg zurück.
